1Guard me, O Ěl, for I have taken refuge in You.
2I have said to יהוה, “You are יהוה, I have no good beside You.”
3As for the set-apart ones who are on the earth, They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.
4The sorrows of those who run after another one are increased; I would not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor take up their names on my lips.
5יהוה is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You uphold my lot.
6Boundary lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, a good inheritance is mine.
7I bless יהוה who has given me counsel; My kidneys also instruct me in the nights.
8I have set יהוה always before me; Because He is at my right hand I am not shaken.
9Therefore my heart was glad, and my esteem rejoices; My flesh also dwells in safety.
10For You do not leave my being in the grave, Neither let Your Kind One see corruption.
11You show me the path of life; In Your presence is joy to satisfaction; At Your right hand are pleasures forever.
1Hear righteousness, יהוה, Listen to my cry; Give ear to my prayer, From lips without deceit.
2Let my right-ruling go out from Your presence; Let Your eyes see what is straight.
3You have examined my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me – You find I have not schemed; My mouth would not transgress.
4As for the deeds of men – By the word of Your lips, I have kept myself from the paths of the destroyer.
5My steps have held fast to Your paths, My feet have not slipped.
6I have called upon You, for You answer me, O Ěl; Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech.
7Let Your kindness be distinguished, You who save by Your right hand those who take refuge From those who rise up.
8Guard me as the apple of Your eye. Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
9From the face of the wrong who ravage me, From my deadly enemies who surround me.
10They are enclosed in their own fat, They speak proudly with their mouths,
11They have now surrounded us in our steps, They set their eyes to cast us to the ground,
12Like a lion who is eager to tear his prey, And as a young lion crouching in cover.
13Arise, O יהוה, Confront him, cause him to bend; Deliver my being from the wrong by Your sword,
14From men by Your hand, O יהוה, From men of the world whose portion is in this life, And You fill their bellies with Your treasure, They are satisfied with children, And shall leave their riches to their babes.
15As for me, let Me see Your face in righteousness; I am satisfied to see Your appearance when I awake.
1I love You, O יהוה, My strength.
2יהוה is my rock and my stronghold and my deliverer; My Ěl is my rock, I take refuge in Him; My shield and the horn of my deliverance, my high tower.
3I call upon יהוה, the One to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.
4The cords of death surrounded me, And the floods of Beliya‛al made me afraid.
5The cords of the grave were all around me; The snares of death were before me.
6In my distress I called upon יהוה, And to my Elohim I cried; He heard my voice from His Hĕḵal, And my cry went before Him, into His ears.
7And the earth shook and trembled; Even the foundations of the mountains were troubled And they shook, because He was wroth.
8Smoke went up from His nostrils, And consuming fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it.
9And He bowed the heavens and came down, And thick darkness was under His feet.
10And He rode upon a keruḇ, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind.
11He made darkness His covering; Around Him His booth, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
12From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed, hail and coals of fire.
13And יהוה thundered in the heavens, And the Most High sent forth His voice, Hail and coals of fire.
14And He sent out His arrows and scattered them, And much lightning, and confused them.
15And the channels of waters were seen, And the foundations of the world were uncovered At Your rebuke, O יהוה, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
16He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.
17He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from those hating me, For they were stronger than I.
18They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But יהוה was my support.
19And He brought me out into a large place; He delivered me for He delighted in me.
20יהוה rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He repaid me.
21For I have guarded the ways of יהוה, And have not acted wrongly against my Elohim.
22For all His right-rulings are before me, And I did not turn from His laws.
23And I am perfect before Him, And I guard myself from my crookedness.
24And יהוה repays me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands before His eyes.
25With the kind You show Yourself kind; With the perfect one You show Yourself perfect;
26With the clean You show Yourself clean; And with the crooked You show Yourself twisted.
27For You save the afflicted people, But bring down those whose eyes are haughty.
28For You Yourself light my lamp; יהוה my Elohim makes my darkness light.
29For with You I run against a band, And with my Elohim I leap over a wall.
30The Ěl – His way is perfect; The Word of יהוה is provena; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
31For who is Eloah, besides יהוה? And who is a rock, except our Elohim?
32It is Ěl who girds me with strength, And makes my way perfect,
33Making my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places,
34Teaching my hands for battle, So that my arms shall bend a bow of bronze.
35And You give me the shield of Your deliverance; And Your right hand supports me, And Your lowliness makes me great.
36You enlarge my step under me; And my feet shall not slip.
37I pursue my enemies and overtake them; And do not turn back till they are destroyed.
38I crush them, and they are unable to rise; They fall under my feet.
39And You gird me with strength for battle; Cause my adversaries to bow under me.
40And You have made my enemies turn their backs, As for those hating me, I cut them off.
41They cry – but no one is there to save, To יהוה – but He answers them not.
42And I beat them as dust before the wind; I empty them out like dirt in the streets.
43You deliver me from the strivings of the people, You set me at the head of the nations; A people I have not known serve me.
44As soon as they hear of me they obey me; The foreigners submit to me.
45The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their strongholds.
46יהוה lives! And blessed is my Rock! And exalted is the Elohim of my deliverance,
47The Ěl who avenges me, And He humbles the peoples under me;
48My deliverer from my enemies. You lift me up above those who rise against me; You deliver me from a man of violence.
49Therefore I give thanks to You, O יהוה, among nations, And I sing praise to Your Name,
50Making great the deliverance of His sovereign, And showing kindness to His anointed, To Dawiḏ and his seed, forever.
1The heavens are proclaiming the esteem of Ěl; And the expanse is declaring the work of His hand.
2Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.
3There is no speech, and there are no words, Their voice is not heard.
4Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He set up a tent for the sun,
5And it is like a bridegroom coming out of his room, It rejoices like a strong man to run the path.
6Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end; And naught is hidden from its heat.
7The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple;
8The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes;
9The fear of יהוה is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of יהוה are true, They are righteous altogether,
10More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
11Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward.
12Who discerns mistakes? Declare me innocent from those that are secret,
13Also keep Your servant back from presumptuous ones, Do not let them rule over me. Then shall I be perfect, and innocent of great transgression.
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be pleasing before You, O יהוה, my rock and my redeemer.
1יהוה does answer you in the day of distress! The Name of the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ does set you on high!
2He does send you help from the set-apart place, And does uphold you from Tsiyon!
3He does remember all your offerings, And does accept your burnt offering! Selah.
4He does give you according to your heart, And fills all your plans!
5We sing of Your deliverance, And in the Name of our Elohim we set up a banner! יהוה does fill all your requests!
6Now I know that יהוה shall save His Anointed; He answers him from His set-apart heavens With the saving might of His right hand.
7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, But we remember the Name of יהוה our Elohim.
8They, they have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and are established.
9Save, יהוה! Let the Sovereign answer us in the day we call.
1Children, listen to the discipline of a father, And give attention to know understanding;
2For I gave you good instruction: Do not forsake my Torah.
3For I was my father’s son, Tender and the only one in the eyes of my mother,
4Then he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; Guard my commands, and live.
5“Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, and do not turn away From the words of my mouth.
6“Do not leave her, and let her guard you; Love her, and let her watch over you.
7“The beginning of wisdom is: Get wisdom! And with all your getting, get understanding.
8“Exalt her, and let her uplift you; She brings you esteem when you embrace her.
9“She gives your head a fair wreath, She shields you with an adorning crown.”
10Hear, my son, and accept my words, And let the years of your life be many.
11I have taught you in the way of wisdom, I have led you in straight paths.
12When you walk your steps shall not be hindered, And if you run you shall not stumble.
13Hold fast to discipline, do not let go; Watch over her, for she is your life.
14Do not enter the path of the wrong, And do not walk in the way of evil-doers.
15Avoid it, do not pass by it; Turn away from it and pass on.
16For they do not sleep unless they have done evil. And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall.
17For they have eaten the bread of wrongdoing, And they drink the wine of violence.
18But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.
19The way of the wrong is like darkness; They do not know at what they stumble.
20My son, listen to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21Let them not depart from your eyes; Guard them in the midst of your heart;
22For they are life to those who find them, And healing to all their flesh.
23Watch over your heart with all diligence, For out of it are the sources of life.
24Turn away from you a crooked mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.
25Let your eyes look forward, And your eyelids look straight before you.
26Consider the path of your feet, And all your ways are established.
27Do not turn to the right or the left; Turn your foot away from evil.
